Little Hermione Granger to big-time Emma Watson 从小魔女到大女人——艾玛·沃森
IT REALLY CAN ALL BE DONE. 奇迹可以自己创造.
You’ve heard of Emma Watson as the actress that played Hermione Granger in the infamous Harry Potter movie series; the little girl that captured our hearts on screen at the young age of 11, and as she grew up on screen, she grew further into our hearts, and now as she stands as a young woman, far more accomplished than many of us may know, all there is too see of her is a fiery sprit that is not burning out any time soon.
The young actress is worth far more than the common title she is given. While Watson only celebrated her 25th birthday just a few months ago, she has already accomplished far more than any of us would dream to in our lifetimes. Aside from the Harry Potter series, earning her well over USD $32 million, in total, in just 2009 and 2010, the young actress emerged as a little fashionista, bursting into the world of high fashion with her campaign for Burberry. After her transformation form long locks to her pixie do, Watson graced the cover of Vogue magazine in July of 2011, and a commercial for Lancôme perfume to follow. She then as a fashion consultant helped create a line for the People Tree label.
Watson, after studying for 5 hours a day whist on the set of each movie, finishing school with straight A’s, graduated in May 2014, from US IV league school Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. This, after juggling her education between Oxford University and Brown while still maintaining her acting career.
However, having her acting career, piled on top of an already demanding academic one, did take a toll on her sense of home and security. And it was because of this, that in 2013, Watson became a certified yoga instructor, as she tells Elle Australia that an uncertain future meant finding “a way to always feel safe and at home within myself. Because I can never rely on a physical place.”
But of course; graduating from Brown, finishing the Harry Potter movie series and becoming a certified yoga instructor was in no way going to slow her down. In the year of 2014, Watson was honoured with the award of ‘British Artist of the Year’ by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. That same year, after continually declaring herself as an open liberal feminist, Watson began to explore a life and career outside of the Arts, and was appointed as a United Nation Women Goodwill Ambassador, helping launch her most famous of projects: HeForShe calling and promoting for gender equality. She has been known to Watson promote education for girls, visiting Bangladesh and Zambia to do so. She continued to do this work after her appointing made her first country visit as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador to Uruguay where she gave a speech highlighting the need for women’s political participation.
Emma Watson has truly proven than anything is indeed possible, when you put your mind to it. The youngster of only 25 years has far more than any of us can imagine lined up for herself in the future, and only time will tell what’s next for our favourite star born wonder.
